Who We Are
Manhattan Bible Church in Manhattan, Montana is seeking a new Senior Pastor. Our church is a non-denominational body of believers whose purpose is to glorify God by being a family of disciples of Jesus Christ, who in turn make disciples. The church had its first meeting in 1934 and has maintained a rich heritage of ministry and missions for over 85 years. We presently average 100-125 people each Sunday and more continue to come (post COVID). The church body is multi-generational and includes a balance of seniors and families with children of all ages with programs and ministries geared for each age group. Manhattan (population 2,100+/-) is centrally located in the scenic Gallatin valley and would be considered a “town & country” setting that serves as a bedroom community for the city of Bozeman. Bozeman and the entire Gallatin Valley have realized tremendous growth over the past five years, which makes strong biblically-based churches even more essential. Manhattan is growing, but still has a small town feel and is a great place to raise a family.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Spirit-led man of God who is an effective communicator gifted in preaching, teaching, leading, organization and shares our vision to make disciples. We desire that he preaches from the Bible expositionally and interprets scripture literally from a dispensational position. We want him to be a man of prayer, with a heartbeat for the lost, and one who has a deep pastoral care and love for people. Commitment to discipleship, mentoring, visitation and small groups is a must. Responsibilities would include teaching and preaching as well as working with the elders in their oversight of all church ministries. Oversight would also include the development of future leaders for potential service as elders, deacons, and other ministry positions within the church.
Experience as a lead or staff pastor is desired and a seminary and/or Bible college degree from a reputable evangelical institution is preferred.
