Manhattan Bible Church is a Bible-centered, Christ-exalting church in the heart of Manhattan, MT. Our purpose is to glorify by God by being a family of disciples of Jesus Christ, who in turn make disciples. We long to see God's Kingdom advance in the world through His Gospel, starting with declaring the glorious hope of Christ to our own community! Below are several distinctives that identify who we are as a church:
1. Faithful Preaching. We believe proclaiming God's Word is essential to the mission and growth of the Church (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Tim. 4:2). We preach expositionally, verse-by-verse through Scripture, for the equipping of the saints, proclamation of the Gospel, and the glory of God (Eph. 4:11-13; 1 Cor. 10:31).
2. Loving Community. As the Church, we are not merely an organization, but a family who is committed to loving one another, and building one another up unto maturity in Christ (1 Pet. 4:7; 1 John 4:7-12). We do this through weekly corporate worship, weekly gatherings, practicing the "one anothers," and building personal relationships as a Christ-centered community.
3. Inentional Discipleship. As seen through our purpose statement, our goal and desire is to be disciples and make disciples. In the Great Commission, this includes evangelism and "teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matt. 28:20a) We seek to build discipling relationships, coming alongside eachother to grow in our love and devotion to Christ.
4. Passionate Outreach. As a local church, our goal is to advance the Kingdom of God by making disciples of all nations, whether at home or abroad (Matt. 28:18-20). We seek to fulfill our calling by reaching our community with the Gospel, sending those called to global missions, and supporting many who are on the mission field.
